We wish all our sold ponies and new owners all the best for the future!
Going back to 1993, this was Barty ( Donegreagh Baritone )
at the colt inspection at the Moy. He was by Song of Corlandos.
He was sold & went on to jump under the name of Inglewood Express,
and attained Grade A. Then he was sold on and his name changed
again, but he never was recognised by the SJAI under his proper name.
Bluebell and Barty, April 1990.
Belmore Bluebell, Connemara Champion at the NPS Area 32 show,
in 1992.
Donegreagh Willow, colt by Spring Con.

Donegreagh Maidín Mhaith (Sold To Armagh)

Grey-Dun Filly
Sire: Donegreagh Applejack
Dam: Monaghanstown Peggy M 11323.
Details: This filly has always been placed well as a foal and yearling. She is a stunning mover, and mature for her age. She takes after her sire in being 'of the old type', and is his image in her head. She stood beside John McKay's multi -championship winning two year old, the exceptional 'Glendun Misty Dawn' ( Kingstown Boy X Misty Isle ) in the Youngstock class at the 2008 Country Comes to Town, her first outing in 2008. We look forward to seeing her competing more often as she continues to mature. Congratulations to Pat Devlin, her owner, and to Caroline McParland, who makes the time to produce her for Pat !

Benvarden Gemma - (Sold To Scotland)
Born: July 2006
Golden Dun Filly
Sire: Donegreagh Applejack
Dam: Benvarden Jewel
Details: Gemma was placed 2nd at her first show, at Lurgan on June 2nd, in the part-bred Connemara youngstock class. She also showed her older companions how to load, when she walked straight into the lorry in the morning with no bother. More importantly she did the same for the return journey, despite it being her first experience of travelling. We continue to hear from Gemma on a regular basis, thanks to her lovely new people, Julie and Katie ! She lives out with a Highland named Eilidh, and Tinker, who is older and was her first new friend, as well as Katie's pony Buffy. Though a bit shy when she first arrived, she soon warmed to all the attention, and loves following her people around as much as possible ! She has learned lot since moving to Drumoak, all in preparation for her future as a family horse.

Benvarden Rachmaninov
Born: 2003
Mahogany Bay 15 hh Gelding
Sire: Donegreagh Applejack (CPBS)
Dam: Benvarden Jewel (NIHB reg.)
Details: The photos above were taken at Lurgan Show 2008, where Rachmaninov was placed 3rd in the Intermediate Ridden Hunter class, and he has also been Reserve Champion In Hand and 2nd in the Intermediate Ridden Hunter @ the Fairyhouse Show, Dublin. He is seen here with Grainne McParland riding, and is now the much adored mount of her sister, Bronagh ! Bronagh rode him to fourth place in the part-bred ridden Connemara class at The Country Comes to Town, and also at The Rare Breeds Survival Trust Show at Gosford Park during September. He was also 2nd in the Show Hunter Pony Class at The Country Comes to Town, to his very good friend and stablemate, Molly ( Delvin Spring Breeze, by Ard Conneely ). Rach has a little brother, a full sibling born in June 2008, who, apart from having a star on his forehead, is the absolute image of him ! What else could I call him but 'Rach Two' ? Rach loves life, his family and his work, and sometimes this attitude bubbles over in the showring, when he is inclined to forget that he is not supposed to give that little buck of joy when he is asked to gallop for the judges !
